Devanāgarī
चक्रन्द भूमिः परितो मदीया खलो हि पुत्रानसुरो ममर्द।
स्वार्थेन नीतोऽहमनर्च पादौ दुरात्मनो भ्रातृवधेन लिप्तौ॥३॥
Anvaya
[मां] परितः मदीया भूमिः चक्रन्द। [यतो] हि खलः असुरः [तस्याः] पुत्रान् ममर्द। किन्तु स्वार्थेन नीतः अहं दुरात्मनः भ्रातृवधेन लिप्तौ पादौ आनर्च !
Meaning
[मां] परितः - [māṁ] paritaḥ - all around me; मदीया - madīyā - my; भूमिः - bhūmiḥ - country; चक्रन्द - cakranda - wept; [यतो] हि - [yato] hi - for; खलः - khalaḥ - a villainous; असुरः - asuraḥ - Titan; [तस्याः] पुत्रान् - [tasyāḥ] putrān - (her) children; ममर्द - mamarda - oppressed; किन्तु - kintu - yet; स्वार्थेन - svārthena - by self-interest; नीतः - nītaḥ - led; अहं - ahaṁ - I; दुरात्मनः - durātmanaḥ - of the evil one; भ्रातृवधेन - bhrātṛvadhena - with the blood of my brothers; लिप्तौ - liptau - stained; पादौ - pādau - (to) the feet; आनर्च - ānarca - I paid homage;
Sanskrit
मां परितः मदीया मातृभूमिः चीत्कारं करोति स्म। यतो हि तस्याः पुत्राः दुष्टदैत्येन मर्दिताः निहताश्च भवन्ति स्म। किन्तु स्वार्थवशेन अहं तस्य दुराचारिणः, भ्रातृविनाशकारिणः रक्तलिप्तौ पादौ अपूजयम् !
English Interpretation
My country wept all around me, for a villainous Titan oppressed her children. Led by self-interest, I paid homage to the feet of the evil one stained with the blood of my brothers.

मेरे चारों ओर रो रही थी धरती,
रौंद रहे थे दुष्ट असुर माँ के बेटों को,
मैं डूबा अपनी चिन्ता में दबा रहा था पाँव दुष्ट के
जो मेरे ही सुहृद् बान्धवों के लहू से सने हुए थे॥
