Swaraj Amrit Mahotsav : Bhavani Bharati - 14



Devanāgarī

शूराः प्रगल्भाश्च हि शात्रवाणां स्पर्धालवं सोढुममर्षणास्ते।
पूजां जनन्या रिपुभिः समाप्य रेजू रणान्ते रुधिराक्तदेहाः॥१४॥

Anvaya

शूराः प्रगल्भाः च ते हि शात्रवाणां स्पर्धालवं सोढुम् अमर्षणाः रिपुभिः जनन्याः पूजां समाप्य रणान्ते रुधिराक्तदेहाः रेजुः।

Meaning

शूराः śūrāḥ - Heroic /brave; प्रगल्भाः च pragalbhāḥ ca - and bold/courageous; ते te - they; हिंस्रस्य hi - (indeed); शात्रवाणां śātravāṇāṁ - of their foes; स्पर्धालवं spardhālavaṁ - a hint of competition; सोढुम् soḍhum - to overcome; अमर्षणाः amarṣaṇāḥ - unforgiving/relentless; रिपुभिः ripubhiḥ - with enemies (sacrifice); जनन्याः jananyāḥ - of the Mother; पूजां pūjāṁ - Worship; समाप्य samāpya - having won finished complete end destroy; रणान्ते raṇānte - at battle's end; रुधिराक्तदेहाः rudhirāktadehāḥ - their limbs anointed with blood; रेजुः rejuḥ - stood radiant /radiated/shone;

Sanskrit

वीराः, साहसिनः, शत्रूणाम् ईषदपि युद्धाह्वानं सोढुम् अशक्ताः ते रिपुबलिदानेन जनन्याः पूजां समाप्य युद्धान्ते रक्तलिप्तदेहाः अदीप्यन्त।

English Interpretation

Heroic and bold, they would brook no hint of defiance from their foes. Worshipping the Mother with the sacrifice of her enemies, at battle's end they stood radiant, their limbs anointed with blood.

Hindi

शूरवीर हैं वे प्रगल्भ हैं,
रिपुओं की स्पर्धा को तिल भर नहीं सहेंगे,
शत्रुदमन कर पूजा करते हैं माँ की वे
और समर में जीत
रुधिर से सने हुए शोभा पाते हैं॥
