In 1886, Narendra was intensely dissatisfied with the slowness of his
progress towards realization. As he was to appear for law exam., he used
to spent lot of time in studies. Sometimes he was not even meeting Sri
Thakur. Noticing this, Sri Thakur told him, 'if you become a lawyer, I
shall not be able to take even water at your hands.' That made Narendra
lost all desire for further studies.
