Lokavyavastha Leadership

|| योग: कर्मसु कौशलम् ||

Mananeeya Eknathji in Swami Vivekananda's Rousing Call to Hindu Nation brings out the way Leader is made and performs as an essential part of  Lokvyavastha.

…..Where is that martial spirit which, at the very outset, requires one to know how to serve and obey, and to practise self-restraint! The martial spirit is not self-assertion, but self-sacrifice. One must be ready to advance and lay down one's life at the word of command, before he can command the hearts and lives of others. One must sacrifice himself first.

 "A captain must sacrifice his head," they say. If you can lay down your life for a cause, then only you can be a leader. But we all want to be leaders without making the necessary sacrifice. And the result is zero — nobody listens to us!

Know partiality to be the chief cause of all evil. That is to say, if you show towards any one more love than towards somebody else, rest assured, you will be sowing the seeds of future troubles.

He never becomes a leader in whose love there is a consideration of high or low. He whose love knows no end, and never stops to consider high or low, has the whole world lying at his feet.

I see persons giving me almost the whole of their love. But I must not give anyone the whole of mine in return, for that day the work would be ruined. Yet there are some who will look for such a return, not having the breadth of the impersonal view. It is absolutely necessary to the work that I should have the enthusiastic love of as many as possible, while I myself remain entirely impersonal.

Lokavyavstha

|| योग: कर्मसु कौशलम् ||
In Lokavyavastha, the LEADER has very important role to play. He needs to see that for every work, there is a person and for every person, there is a work. Finding the appropriate person for the work is quite difficult and so, the need of Lokasamskara becomes very very important. Having got organisational training, one is well equipped to get into the proper role and here, the Leader needs to have some essential qualities in managing organisation properly.
Swami Vivekananda also makes it very clear while dealing with the role of the Leader. Swami Vivekananda says :

There is no allegiance possible where there is no character in the leader, and perfect purity ensures the most lasting allegiance and confidence.

A leader is not made in one life. He has to be born for it. For the difficulty is not in organisation and making plans; the test, the real test, of the leader, lies in holding widely different people together along the line of their common sympathies. And this can only be done unconsciously, never by trying.

It is a very difficult task to take on the role of a leader. -One must be -a servant of servants, and must accommodate a thousand minds. There must not be a shade of jealousy or selfishness, then you are a leader. First, by birth, and secondly, unselfish that's a leader.

Lokavyavastha

|| योग: कर्मसु कौशलम् ||

Mananeeya Eknathji places the next step of Chatussutri as Lokvyavastha.
This is an important step. Eknathji says :
Lokavyavastha
The cadre of the people is automatically created wherein people are trained in the right manner through Lokasamskar so that they are qualified to carry out the work in the right spirit even independently, because they become more familiar with the proper working of the organization and also realize the spirit as well as the manner in which the organization is to continue and progress. Such devoted workers are taught the technique which they readily understand and grasp under the urge of the mission before them and they master the most essential things when they are imparted to them. Such equipped dedicated workers are further to be deployed in different fields of work under the guidance and supervision of a proper person. This is called Lokavyavastha (The deployment of the workers). These equipped workers must be prepared for any emergent work which is necessitated like the suicide squads, storm troopers and others and should possess the capacity to stand any torture or pain if required.
