A Missionary Organisation

|| योग: कर्मसु कौशलम् ||

Mananeeya Eknathji while explaining characteristics / attributes of the Missionary Organisation tells us how it is different from clubs, societies, etc. He assures us saying :
In the Missionary organisation you will find that the man blossoms. His development is assured because of the collective will to reach the goal. Success is ensured. Every person who joins a mission, his elevation is ensured. This is the significance of a missionary organisation.
Having said the importance, he further tells us how the organization begins and ultimately reaches its goal and how that happens. He says :
The very start of the organisation is like this, first have men who would be the living embodiments of the ideal for which the mission stands.
If Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitayacha is the ideal, then let there be at least a few men who live that ideal, who breathe that ideal every moment of their life. So this special characteristic that we start with such people, first we create whatever is the ideal of the mission, of an organization. Those ideals we live, that will be reflected in our life. All the principles that you expound as the principles of the organization, those principles must be embodied in the life. At least few persons, few souls must be like this. Once you have that band of workers then you can have a specimen, you can tell to the people, yes these are the specimens. Such people we want to build. This is our concept of man making. These are the men who represent the organization.

We find this view echoing in Swamiji. Swami Vivekananda said :
Let a few stand out and live for God alone and save religion for the world. …If you give up, stand fast. If a hundred fall in the fight, seize the flag and carry it on. God is true for all that, no matter who fails. Let him who falls hand on the flag to another to carry on; it can never fall.
